Job Overview 

 
The ideal candidate has a passion for development, possesses a proven track record of building and leading strong teams and creating state-of-the-art, highly amenitized, master-planned communities. As the Senior Vice President – Master Planned Community Development, you will be instrumental in leading and overseeing all aspects of our master-planned community developments as well as taking an active role in helping to identify and underwrite new projects.
 

Responsibilities  

• Help design and oversee development of our master-planned communities 

• Engage in the design and construction of best-in-class amenities  

• Lead and mentor associates on the residential development team 

• Take an active management role in different projects as workloads may dictate 

• Help guide the preparation of all project schedules and budgets 

• Work with the leadership team to perform land acquisition analysis, due diligence, and market research  

• Oversee and analyze project proformas based on project objectives 

• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders including community, city, and government leaders.  

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MRE, or MLPD preferred 

• Has 15+ years of experience working with large master-planned communities 

• Knowledge of the Texas markets 

• Experience working with MUDs and other reimbursement structures 

• Has experience designing highly amenitized lifestyle-orientated communities 

• Is a proven leader that can develop next-generation talent 

• Has strong analytical and financial skills 

• Self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast paced environment 

• Must have the desire and ability for flexible travel within Texas.
