When Caldwell Companies was founded over 30 years ago, our vision was this: “To honor God by stewarding resources, cultivating relationships, and creating extraordinary communities that enrich lives.” At the heart of Caldwell Companies, we are called to serve and help others in the areas we live, work and play. Recently, our Executive Vice President, and Partner, Ron Roberson shared a sweet story about one of his clients, Vibrant Church. We are humbled that Vibrant Church entrusted in us to find a location to worship our Lord. God is good and we are so excited to see what all is in store for this community!
“About 2 ½ years ago I got a call from one of my Woodlands area clients asking if I could help a new church plant find a place to meet. They were about to launch in a school in the Woodlands which would have required them to set up and tear down each weekend for their services. After meeting with their pastor, Michael Scobey, I asked him if they would be interested in trying to find a more permanent place to lease. Of course he preferred that, but wasn’t sure a Landlord would take them on, since they were a “start-up” and a church.
We both agreed to pray about it, and through some “God – arranged” connections and events, we found them a 6,500 sf warehouse space to lease in The Woodlands. They launched the new church on September 15, 2019, and have now grown to the point where they needed to expand into more space. We recently negotiated a lease to double their space to just over 13,000 sf and renovate the premises to expand their worship center, kids space and offices.
This past Sunday morning between services, they held a ceremonial ground-breaking for their expansion and invited me to attend.
It is a blessing to see what all Pastor Michael Scobey and his wife Carmen have done in the community. We look forward to seeing their Church grow in the coming years and are honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside them! God is really using them to reach the community in The Woodlands area.”
