iPhones are more popular than giving birth

Steve Jobs left a legacy behind him, and shortly after he passed, the iPhone 4S was introduced.  Sales soared for Apple, and the iPhone has a large majority of the smart phone market share.  In fact, buying an iPhone was so popular last quarter; more people were buying iPhones than having babies.

According to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, in a three month period, there were 377,900 iPhones sold per day compared to 371,000 births per day.    While this may have happened because of the introduction of the new iPhone model, Steve Job’s death, and the holiday season, one thing is for sure—people were out shopping for the iPhone.

Did you buy an iPhone last quarter?  It seemed like a popular thing to do—even more popular than birth!
